cant u jus go to justcar and tick the box that says engine conversion or sumshit? apparently they wont bump up the price of it... its just to let them know so if u crash someone.. they will still cover the other people
Hey!
Just wondering if anyone on here in N.S.W has an AE86 with a GZE or a turbo motor of some sort and whether they have it insured under 3rd party or full comprehensive.
Who are you through and how much a year?
They dont seem to want to touch it for some reason![]()

from experience i have found justcar to be the best for imported and modified insurance as im doin a 4age conversion other companys wont insure them except for shannons but u have to be over 25 also vigils insure you but u have to have a really good rating also u may wana try gio insurance they do modified but dont know much bout them thou
hope this helps
just cars didnt seem to care so much bou the gze in my 86 had a pretty good price aswell and i was 21 at the time
im with just car.
20 years old, no accidents, and a turbo gze in a ke70. all the mods are listed, including coilovers, seats and roll cage.
i pay about 720 a year for third party including fire and theft.
suncorp gave me 3rd party property for like 230. even after i told them it was gze. im 19

thanks heaps hay...thought u guys had sum sort of insurance.
so ur 3rd party covers you if you crash into someone (pays for there car only), fire, theft?can you set a small value on your car if your in the wrong?but if your in the right your okay coz there insurance will fix it?
Dan.
thought i would bump this up with a few questions of my own (hope im not hijacking...)
assuming everyone is insured, what do you go for interms of policy for your daily drifter, full comp, 3rd part fire and theft, just 3rd party?
whose the best to go with, i have spoken to just car and they seem the best, not just for modified cars but young drivers especially.
how much is your premium, and what is it on (what car, mods, age etc)
i'll go first;
-RACV wanted $600 up front, or $650 in installments for 3rd party fire and theft up to $3000 (min) not many mods allowed (30mm lowering etc). $900 excess
-just car wanted $500 up front ONLY, and only went up $15 with mods. $1200 excess
-AAMI wanted $540 upfront or $660 in installements. $900 excess
this was all for a 19yr old driver, 84 corola wagon. no accident history or claims. condisdering how much the car cost etc....

ALL DRIFT MODIFICATIONSYou're a fucking idiot, and I am ashamed that you are part of this community. Sure there isn't many tracks, but praticing on the street isn't the alternative.
Grow the fuck up you little JDM whore
for all your drift modification needs
Its not about how much YOUR car costs though, its about the MERC you write off when they decide an accident was your fault because your the 19YO male driver of a modified Japanese car, lol
I don't drive a car without at least 3rd party property, because if something did happen..... well, its just not worth thinking about.
A mate had an incident where he had just has a wheel alignment, then MIRACULOUSLY his wheel came off on the way home and the wheel hit a parked brand new commodore. He had 3rd party property so he just paid his excess and that took car of the commy (did like 5K worth of damage!) and then he just pressed in a new ball joint and chucked the wheel back on. funnily enough the company that did the wheel alignment denied all knowledge of the possibility of touching wheel-nuts... also they never received business from any of the guys friends from that day forward, lol
