my mates ae86 he recently got has got some weird problem keeps reving up and down on idle ?
first i thought it would have been the cold starter but we dissconnected it and did the same thing,
and also makes the car go ruff sometimes, could this be the valve timing? he needs help he cant rely on it as a daily

You either have an air leak (or the idle screw is wound out too much which i doubt) or the tps needs adjusting.

Happened to mine when my timing belt was missing teeth and can also be from vacuum problems and some other shit.
