Thread: a Clock sound when going thro bump,uneven road.

    Hi guys.....as topic.

    i find my car are too stiff on the front, you can feel every bits of the road even on OK road the car still bounce like a hard plastic round ball.

    And very often i can hear a "Clock" sound. so is it normal??

    my camber is neg

    the the of coz is lowerd but as low as some of you guy( with low Origin still off the 10cm+)

    yes i have camber top and i this Neg camber add on too....

    not to sure what brand or what spring rate it is!!

    i import this car from japan,..so i dont have much idea most things

    sounds like loose bearings in the camber tops, or the shocker nuts are a bit loose, tighten them up and see.

    i second that

    my camber top nut (shock nut) comes loose on the drivers side every fortnight

    i don't have access to a rattle gun so i just retighten it religiously

    Could also be the nut that holds the insert tight in the strut tube. If that nut comes loose, it will cause the insert to move up and down when you hit bumps in the road causing a clunky/clock sound.

    I'd put my money on that too. Mine seems to come loose every now and again (I think the passenger side one is slightly loose ATM). To test, jack the car up on the side the noise is coming from so that you can easily see the strut tube. Have a feel of the the nut on the outside of the strut, and tighten it up. Good maintenance idea

    i got the same thing in the passenger rear....lol still have not checked it yet maybs 2moro

    well, if the cars still bouncy as, and making knocking noises...
