i had the same thing happen to me, and like u said sounded like someone hittin the diff with a sledgy. pulled it out and it only had half the teeth on the pinion. all these chunks of metal coming out of the drain plug was a funny site

so yeah its back on the road, open center 4.3 lol. crown wheel had some chips on it and pinion was missing a fair few teeth so yeah fail.

looking for a 4.77 to throw in the 2way, not rushing though. shit will be ready when its ready hopefully mid next month sporting new swaybars and diff.

also flared my fronts alot while it was off the road, also matt black, i like it alot. anyway good to have her back driving.
