Just remove the strut from the steering arm at the bottom (still attached at the strut top) and leave it to one side.
Its easiest to use a ball joint seperator ($10-$15) to remove the steering arm and the rest is just held on with bolts which are easy.
2 bolts for the strut, 1 nut for the ball joint, 2 bolts for the castor rod, 1 for the sway bar and 1 for the strut pivot, easy...
oh don't forget to wheel align afterwards... you will have mega toe and crappy castor otherwise...
