well after getting my car dynoed and tuned for some retarded reason i only put out 80kw with 500nm of torque? so i guess my first question is, this is not normal as far as i know? most people can get about 120kw with the same sort of mods these being ECU front mount, exhaust, injectors pump etc. So before cutting all losses and putting an SR in I want to put a bit more boost into it, now i guess there is a few options, I could ditch the SC pulley and put something smaller on, then this will get rid of the relay too, but... will this then make my car constantly under boost? or is this controlled by the ABV? I'm not too familiar with superchargers, then my other option is bigger crank pulley, which then overdrives the water pump too? then last but not least, who knows of companies that make pulley kits? i have seen the nevo kit, and read something a while ago about a place in adelaide called RPM that made them too and found another company in america that does a kit and i guess the way our dollar is would be a good option too.
    anyway thanks heaps guys

for a modified gze to get the best power you should have

    sc14 charge off a 1ggze
    sc12 pully kit
    modified bigport intake manifold
    3sge injectors
    256 or 264 cams
    hardened valve springs
    aftermarket ecu

with the right tune you should be able to get 120kw+ atw. if you were to start somewhere with your current setup id get a bigport intake modified

when cars get dyno'd they usually have inaccurate torque results

    current mods are
    Haltech ECU
    front mount
    exhaust.
big injectors etc so all the paarimeters are there just not getting the power i should, I think james' put out around the 120kw mark and mine seems to keep up with his, back in the day at least, trying to get soem more info on a kit from the states, then after that if that doesn't satisfy me i will just go SR then i can get all my cold start drivability back etc, no hunting idle

Do not forget a dyno is merely a tool for tunning up your motor relative to its last run.

Firstly I call bullshit on the "120rwkw 4AGZEs running stock boost". It just isnt going to happen.

Basically your engine is fairly stock and so will make fairly stock power. 80rwkw being a little low, but not embarassingly so. The exhaust may help things a little and the ECU will let you tweak things for a little more power, but neither will set the world alight.

If you want to see good results up your boost. Fit a big crank pulley (forget about your water pump it isn't an issue), SC14 and/or late model, smaller SC pulley. Opening up your throttle and inlet can also help. 3SG throttle has been documented, intake manifold is more involved and probably not as beneficial. And cams will help the show out too, around 260-270 is what I'd recommend.

And yes, a dyno figure isn't the be all and end all. Look more at your AFRs and make sure they're safe, and ensure your tuner knows how to get the ignition timing right. This can have a big effect on the power.

    Hen

NB, adding bigger injectors will not make an engine make more power UNLESS the old injectors were the limiting factor. Intercoolers follow a similar rule too.

thanks hen that's pretty much what I'm after, someone who actually knows from experience etc, my tuner is a haltech dealer but mainly deals in V8's and diesel's. I know injectors won't give me power, i think someone above suggested it, still running a bit on the rich side i think, and owuld love to find somewhere to download the program so i can have a look on a laptop how everything is set
