no thermostat as it isnt attached to the waterpump!!
Genuine waterpump is just under $100 for an Ae82 4AGE. The front housing is the same as the RWD - the actual PUMP part, spit the housing and put the RWD JDM housing on, that has the thermostat assembly in it, and it fits together.
$60 for the front pump, JDM or not, new, is pritty good.
Can I see a photo of the pump that you are talking about please.

I have the 2 side by side and the rwd front is definately longer due to clutch fan, FWD are shorter so not to hit the chassis rails. Longer studs too.
But if your using a thermo fan then fwd are the same bolt pattern and could be used. You would need the crank pulley for the fwd if a rwd water pulley cant be sourced.
RWD only really needed if you need the fan. You would need the different offset rwd water pump pulley aswell.
Dam no digi cam either, to explain.

OK guys the pump i have for sale is a 4ag jdm pump which has a longer shaft than a fwd pump (reason because it has a egine fan and needs to be closer to the radiator) it is an identical pump otherwise. you can use this pump on a fwd or a rwd engine just need the coresponding waterpump pulley! or will fit a rwd 4ac!!
someone must want a toyota pump at aftermarket price?
