get something closer to standard, or a HID kit methinks.
hey people,
another question, just wondering what light bulbs u guys have, casue i bought some ages ago ,4500k ones, my old one screwed up so i used these and they're really crap (they have that blue tinge to them which i think effects them heaps). I was running phillips 50/100w i think and a less 'K' , so im just wondering which ones u guys use.

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
the light actually gets less brighter (lumens) past about 6500K ive read.
I had shitty hektic blue globes that were junk they came with the car. Bought some Phillips 50% brighter factory replacements and they were much better, awesome light.
RT142 Estate.
AJPS.
which ones were they and where did u get them kona, also what the standard?
K stands for kelvins and is a temp measurement, it refers to the burn temp of a HID bulb, if a standard incandesant globe says it's a "4500K" then it's a wank. they are just relating to the colour of the light output.
with HID the higher the burn temp the lower the light output in lumens, 4500k-6000k is your white light output, anything after that the light changes through blue to purple and output(L) drops off steeply
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Benno @ Dec 3 2007, 07:04 AM) </div>Not entirely correct.
Their output doesn't drop off.
It just moves out of our visual range...

that why i said "light output in lumens", because lumens is a measurement of visable light, thus Visable light output drops.
but yes in the terms of broad spectrum light, you're right, the light moves out of visable range and into ultra-violet with higher burn temps.

I've used both phillips bluevision and visionplus and they're both good, bluevisions being slightly better. Also note that even though they are called bluevisions they are just bright white, not wanky blue.
are there any types of phillips bluevision, like different K's alsohow many wtts do u guys reccomend
