AE71 and AE86 are the only boxes that bolt straight in and work
there aren't many AE71's or AE86's around these days, on the road or at the wreckers
They are rarely imported as AE86 halfcuts are no where near as common as S13 SR itemsyou have to normally find a JDM 86 halfcut and organise to bring it in instead of going to the local import wreckers and having the luxury of choice of 4 or 5 SR cuts
add to that GZE and GTE owners that use and destroy the T50 rather than upgrade to a W box
add to that they are costly to rebuild so damaged boxes get thrown away not reco'd
it is what it is, as far as i can recall they have been around the $300 mark. one of the only 86 parts that hasn't jmped up in price over the years e.g ADM 86 struts :blink:
also T18 out put shaft has 20 spline instead of 22, you can use the front half of a T18 tailshaft to make it work, quite frankly finding a T18 at the wreckers is just as hard as an AE71 or AE86
