    hey guys anyone here know what type of diff this could be. Its a 2.7 litre hilux diff with drums the owner cannot comfirm what it is.
    I am hoping its an g series diff but i don't wanna bid until i can clarify it

    ask the seller what model hilux it came out of. if it came out of a rn41 hilux then it is a g series diff ur lookin for

    Um, it's a HiLux diff and it's not LSD.

    They are all G series 8" diffs. The newer HiLux uses a different code, not G series. But they would be very similar if not the same.

    edit: woops, didn't click on the link. i assumed it was the hilux diff already cut down to suit an ae86 (that has been on there for weeks)

    W56 A01A is a good and propper answer. W56 is the gearbox, A01A is the diff. A older HiLux would have a diff code G284 and A01A is the newer code that no one seams to have worked out. But its roughly 8" still.

    Yer i realised it was a w56 gearbox but the A01A i had no clue. I am thinking about getting this for my ae86 how hard is it to convert the hubs to 4 stud ?? If its an RN40 its the same size as the stock s series

    The one off ebay is not RN40. It is way newer, like RZN147 or something.
