    hey guys,

my mate and i are going for a drive tonight, and i really wants to fit some "new" tyres to his 17s.

he's been to many tyre shops and like we expected no one will fit 2nd hand tyres, even if they are in a RW condition.

my question is to anyone in the melbourne area who has a tyre machine so we could change tyres for tonight, we would pay you accordingly.

    my number is 0431 475 306

Well aren't they being a bit bloody precious.

Anyone you went to in SA would change them,

AS LONG AS THEY ARE LOOSE WHEELS.

Try this, as you are only rolling a car around the backyard.

Oh, and there's always the old line - I'm going to get tyres in a few
weeks when I've finished fixing the car, Oh and I need a wheel align.

    Get creative.

all small tyres shops will do it in melbourne.
you know the sort 1 shop owners not the huge multi-million dollar corporations

the people that sell nakangs and maxxis
plenty of places in the westy that will definitely do it.
just gotta find those little tyre shops tucked away in some dark alley. =D

p.s: dont look on yellowpages because most likely they are the ones that will refuse your request.

alright, i would like you guys to tell me, is a 175/65 on a 14x7 THAT "huge" as my tyre shop who do all my wheels said "no way man, 185 absolute MINIMUM.."

i didnt think this would be much at all, so i ask again, as anyone got a tyre machine, at least to fit (not inflate) my 175s over my wheels...

i wanna try that technique ive seen on youtube, with the lighter fluid.

i really want my tyres on my rims so if anyone knows a place that WILL do it or anyone who can do it themselves please help a fellow ae86 owner out here!

bring the rims you want the tyres to go on and take it to a tyre shop and say you need them on for a burn out comp.

that way it dosent look suss .

Thanks for the help guys, but i ended up just buying two 24" tyre levers and putting them on myself!

i think this is a better option for me in the future, as i can get insane stretch and not have to spend $10 per tyre!

    woot!

here's what they looked like in the end, im so happy just thought id share it with you.

i am fairly happy with these, but i still am going to need to get some 15x9s with 195/50s

and by the way, this works VERY VERY well
