How long did it take you to save for your AE86?
I'm 1/48th of the way there... and its taken me a week, so I guess I will have enough to buy my AE86 this year

hehe "save" for an ae86, thats what sux about these cars you shouldnt have to save for a 1980's jap car, you should just be able to place 3 teeth under your pillow and wake up ontop of an ae86.
well my ae86 cost $1600 to buy so there was no saving needed, just wondering what did you wont to spend on an 86 did you wont one thats already been played with?
$10K
The < $ 6000 sprinters are too Aus Spec these days for my liking, pre-tinkered = win
Sad cause my first real AE86 cost me $2900 and had a 100KW 4A-GE, Coilovers and Strut Brace
Wish I had never sold it now...
Love the tooth fairy comment BTW!

No Can do, just took out a loan to buy a new clutch (installed) for the RS Turbo & some "misc" repairs
Savings tis!
get an import (i meen import one) lots of them havent been touched and are in fantastic condition, and aussies do some pretty stupid shit to cheaper cars.
i dont really have the balls to buy a car over the net but it looks like there are some great ae86 in japland.
didnt save at all. sold the last car (XC falcon) and bought an ae86 and had cash to spare (cash to spare was spent on repairs). then sold that ae86 and bought another with that money+other cash saved
Awesome stuff, great to hear you're on your way mate
I had the money already saved when I bought mine, that was before I got a credit card, mobile bills, uni bills....
I have to agree with what you want Nick, one with all the goodies done is as simple as pick up and drive. The happiness that follows when driving it is the reward![]()
