got some cash lying around for one, but still looking for that bargain unrego'd stocker 86 to play with
bought my first "real" KE70 for $150 off an old guy with plans to fix it up and turn it into a daily, that idea failed as I found more and more rust and then eventually, whilst stripping shit out of it, found out it was 2 KE70's welded together  so that was canned and half parted out. Then my grandparents and parents teamed up and bought me my first AE86 for my 18th birthday and "getting into uni" present. I did try to save like 3 years prior to that but I kept spending all my savings on stupid shit![]()
Had a 1500 dollar deposit in my pocket.
decided to only put down 1400, put 70 on powerball and bought myself a steak.
Won 3200!!!!
enough for the car and another couple of streaks.
I got my AE71 for free but it cost over $1200 to fix it up and get it on the road, my brother got a sprinter for 6k which he got a loan for but it turned out to have a twisted chasse so he parted it out and found himself a trueno coupe which cost him 11k after getting everything to Australian standards, he added that to his loan x_x and as for me I'm still saving up my cash until I can find the perfect 86 for me.
bought a wrecker spec rodeo, straight traded it for a hilux 4 x4 ,straight swapped for an 86
