thanks for the kind words redsprinter.

If you want to drift, it's probably better to go with the AE86. Not on the subject of whats a better drift car at all, mainly because finding parts for an FC is harder than an AE86, and probably has a lot less interchangeability as well.
With that said, an FC would have no problem sliding, like an AE86 it takes some setup and money spent on it to do well.

My FC is just a daily driver but it came from Japan as a drift car, so it does skids quite well.

Actually, finding parts for the rx7 is MUCH easier than the ae86. If you want something just hop on ausrotor or ns.com or the various mazda workshops out there. It'll be there. A good healthy Fc won't kill you on fuel, you should be able to get it at around 12-13k lter per 100km. It's no 4age economy, but then again, with 2-3 times the power you wouldn't expect it to be. And if you do a lot of freeway driving, the rx7 is actually very very good on fuel.

And when you're drifting you want as much grip as possible. More grip means you can go much faster and have way more control over the car. The FC also has a 50/50 weight distribution and pretty short wheel base which alows for fast transitions

Jeez I don't know which FC you're driving, but I've never owned a rotary that has used less than 20l/100 when driven the way it's meant to be, and this is from a self-confessed rotor nut. I've got an FD on the way currently.

The reality is they're both fun cars to chuck around - choosing either would be much better than throwing $15K at a Hyundai Getz...
