I'm trying to determine what diff I have but need to know if it should have a code somewhere on it?? I was told it was from a hilux but I'm not toally sure..
It has not been cut down and is only about 10mm wider each side on my KE70.
So where should the code be if it has one?

haha
lol yeh I was hoping that wasn't the only place..
While I've got this topic open can anyone point me to somewhere in Bris that will shorten my handbrake cables??
I've been calling around but can't find a place that is open or willing to do it...
A measurment or photo of the diff may help.

Just got back from slacks creek brake and clutch, they told me they have to make new lines from the "T-peice" (where the two cables join to one). They said that can't join the lines and just have to use the fittings that I have from the diff and make new ones..
At $99 each I think thats a bit of a rip, you reckon bike shops will do it??
how many bolts does the housing have? if its a toyota diff thats another way to determine what diff it is
I will go have a look now, I'm pretty definate it is toyota as the LSD I bought was from a new model Hilux. The reason I need to know the model is because one of the axle seals is leaking and needs replacing.
