What sort of boost can stock 16V 4age's handle reliably? What power atw are we talking with a T25 sized turbo?
Is it possible to purchace decompression head gaskets for running more boost?

depends how its tuned. hich compression and turbos can go together only if they are properly tuned to run that way. if you just slap on a turbo and pump big boost in, it wont last long as the detanation will melt nice holes in your pistons

just do it to a gze. its cheaper and easier than forged internals for a 16V.
unless you are planning on using stock internals.... if youre going to use stock 16V internals i give you a week max before she blows
turb up a 3 rib
pretty common half the garage dori dudes run 15psi on stock 3 ribs
if you want 150+ gze other wise upto 150 is sweet
yeh try break everything all at once
old mate used to put the gze stuff on a ge and had no probs with 12psi he was belting that for a while.
ive been driving mine daily for about 4 months.
the owner before me had it for just under a year.
and the owner before that put it all together...
I have a stock smallport with turbo and complete gze eletrics (comp, CAS, wiring, everything)
I run about 4psi normally.
Ive always wondered how much i can safely run without too much worry..
*wait, it has gze cam covers, maybe that stops it from blowing up![]()
Thanks for reply's..
I would be happy with around 130-140rwkw
*Just to clarify stock driveline should hold up ok at this power level if I don't intend on drifting?
130-150 rwkw will be fine if you take it easy..... my one of those ran for 2 years and then, only the head gasket went no damage to internals
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mr2drift @ Jan 10 2008, 08:36 PM) </div>i run a big port 16v and have the turbo manifold to suit. im running a greddy emanage on a jdm ecu. is it true that all i need to do now is get a 4efte map sensor to read the positive boost and im sweet?
also how much would i be looking at for purchasing the necessary flexi pipe shit that toyota uses on supras etc? more or less than getting some staino piping made to suit?
