Your new one should have a take off that bolts on in place of the original FPR. Then you would mount the actual new regulator on the firewall or somewhere convenient.
I have a Malpassi regulator that fits like this.
i have bought an after market rising rate fuel reg that i need to install for a band aid repair. I am unsure what i need 2 do with the old reg. Can anybody help me out?

As an example, this is the bit that bolts onto your fuel rail in place of the standard reg.
Just came across it, not recommending it or anything.

Cheers for the help.
it works the same if you just leave your original one on unless you want to run less fuel pressure you just dissconect the vac line to the orginal one so its full open all the time then fun your new reg on the retern fuel line easy no muckin around with blank plates etc

Sounds a bit messy to me. Just make sure that if you do try that method, that you use fuel injection standard rubber hose and proper fuel injection hose clamps.
By the time you pay for those, you could just get the correct fitting and do it properly.
I think i'll just get the adaptor coz there will be fucking shit running everywhere by the time i'm done.
