bronze wouldn't work IMO
well i thought i'd throw my 2 cents in...
here are a thew colour choices i will be considering painting my rims.

White looks cool until they are encrusted with brake dust.
Black with polished back face is pretty trick, kinda like Equips.

The dark purple sounds like a cool idea, like almost black, purple highlights in the light.
Otherwise, Gold looks good, silver looks clean and IMO makes them look bigger, A dark pink/fuchsia sort of shade could be really different, especially if metallic.
Dark blue would be cool too, again, almost black, maybe with some metallic, the blue would show on the highlights.
