hey guys on the move of getting my car there just wondering what aftermarket type of alarm/immobiliser systems u guys use?
any recomendations or something for a fair price?

Most car radio places sell good ones, my remote central locking kit originally came from Strathfield. It has an immobiliser function built in, but I don't use it
Pretty much any auto place will have them, just check what features they offer. As for price, well I'm not sure, but again, check the features of the kit to see whihc is best

jaycar alarms are pretty good bang for your buck, but you gota install them yourself.
i used to work at JB hifi, they had some good ones, but the uber fancy ones were waayy to expensive for what they are...and installation was soo expensive, almost as much as the alarm in most cases...

DONT buy one off ebay.
they may be cheap but youll be lucky if you understand how to use it and its features.
my current car has an alarm+immobiliser which self arms itself which is pretty handy. problem is since i didnt install it/get it installed i dont know what wires to use when i put central locking in. ill have to try every unused wire
Went to autorice and looked at Vipers. Saved $300 odd by putting it in myself. Few bugs with it as the wiring diagram was incorrect, but I sorted it out.
Also came with a free central locking kit which was easy to put in as it fit between the doortrim and door quite easily, just the relay side of it was a pain in the arse.
Mine was advertised at autobarn for $850 odd. I think I paid $499.99 for it uninstalled.
i got one of the ebay specials. and it has quite possibly broken already so im thinking i should go and get a proper one. the up side was it used immitation audi remotes so it had the flick out key so i cut a sprinter key up and put it in
Mongoose M80S.....you should find one if you shop around for about 200 bucks.
One of the best alarms for that money and alot better than some that cost
alot more.
