if you are happy with that sorta power, go GZE for sure. less head aches- no real gearbox issues ect.

thats factory settings. with a decent tune you should be able to get 125kw atw with a stock gze and aftermarket ecu. more if you up the boost.

    I'm running 14psi@4000rpm (stock is 8psi@4000rpm)

i highly reccomend gze's. theyre good for that little extra punch

Hopefully will do it later this year some time, not sure when, i got alot more reasearch to do and pretty much want it to be the perfect conversion..
Ie. as little fuk-ups as possible so its the exact opposite of my last conversion

Sorry to dig this up, and its a little off topic but since youre all knowledgable about diff gens...

has anyone got any photos of how to tell the difference between a 4agze small port /bigport?
    and even gen1 or 2 smallport 4agzes?

Just got my ae101 halfcut and its looking like its had an engine swap once before...
Meaning i don't know if it is actually an AE101 smallport... :verymad:

    cheers for any help.

look on the intake side of the head at the flywheel end, there should be an external oil drain from the head to the block.

Both the AE92 and AE101 GZE Smallport's have the external drain and the intake air temp sensor bolted into the #4 runner of the intake manifold. The bigport GZE's have the IAT built into the AFM.

Externally I don't know of any way to tell the difference between an AE92 and AE101 smallport GZE long motors. If it's got the plug leads that came with the engine then they'll be stamped with a build month and year which can give an indication of the year, AE101 was introduced in 1991.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CHA54 @ May 13 2008, 12:10 PM) </div>cheers! i knew about the oilsquirters, just no idea what they looked like/where to locate em! thanks for that!
it doesnt have the original leads though, so i guess its a mystery waiting to be solved once we get it out of there.

    thanks again!
