Hey all i need some advice. Tried using search but no success.
I'm wondering what people have done when putting 4ages in ke70s, and what they do about the alternator.
considering sprinters and ae71's have external reg's, this is never really brought up on here.
I'm not sure what can be done with the 4age.. if i run a 4ag carbs could i use the standard 4k alternator and just extend the wires to the clip? (seeing as its on other side of block)
If i run EFI what are the best options? I'm not to keen on getting a auto elec involved as i don't have cash to blow. I want something that will have internal reg and can just wire up to the ke70 alternator loom clip.
sorry if ive asked too many questions at once, and probably not making much sense.. but any help will be appreciated! especially from those who have done this conversion

    Cheers

I grabbed a reconed 95 camery alternator. External fan, internal regulator. So just hooks right into battery. Just get creative with the mounting brackets.

4k alternator will most likely die on a 4age, Pulling to many amps and it wont like 7750rpm very often.

I'll be using a Bosch 70 amp one from a late model falcon, mounts were the same and the one I have has an internal regulator. All I had to do was swap the pulley for a rib belt style pulley (spacing worked out fine).
