    Cool

    Righto,

Since ive just smashed yet another axle and centre and the keto isnt going,
Ive pretty much read the entire tech section on here!

    Now my question is.

I have been running a locked s series (b/w) in various ratio's from 3.9 to 4.3 but am sick of smashing the rear... so

Will a T series complete rear axle bolt straight into a ke70.
i understand the 4 link mounts are all the same, BUT what about the tailshaft/diff yoke?
Does the s series tailshaft go straight up to the t-series? (ive got a custom 1 piece tailshaft that goes for my s13 g/box to s-series)
How much bigger/stronger is the t over the s?

Thats the main question i want answered, as its my nearest and cheapest option for getting my keto goin again, but if you guys are feeling "knowledgable" then is there a easy answer to this.....

Is there any complete diff that will bolt straight in that is stronger than what I'm running.
i'd love a hilux, but i don't wanna start shortning diffs etc
Track can be increased, as ive increased track on the front.
But any bolt in fit, tarago,celica,r31 etc... I'm not fussed
please tell me what will fit with the most minimal of hassle.

Thanks for ur time to read this, and thx in advance for your replies!

    Cheers

do a bit of searching around but:--->

Will a T series complete rear axle bolt straight into a ke70.

    yes yes it will

i understand the 4 link mounts are all the same, BUT what about the tailshaft/diff yoke?

you need a rear T18 tail shaft section

Does the s series tailshaft go straight up to the t-series?

    no, read above

How much bigger/stronger is the t over the s?

i don't exactly know, but i know they don't hold up to well to turbo applications, or even gze's.

pretty much no other diff will bolt in at all, hilux etc is all custom, it has been done a few times and can be done relatively cheaply (1000$ or so, withouth LSD) but some are hard to get LSD for.

    plenty of info around!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ke70dave @ Feb 7 2008, 11:14 AM) </div>thx for ur fast reply, and yes. i have done a fair bit of reading on here. its all a bit g-series this, ma61 that.. bit confusing and i couldnt find and answer to why s series/t series tailshafts not fitting.

is the bolt pattern for the t series "nose" of the diff the same as the s series. ie will my custom 1 piece tailshaft physically bolt to a t series, regardless of length.

or should i not bother with a t series... just save my cash for a hilux conversion, and continue to stock up on axles and centres.. lol

T and S diffs use the same bolt pattern on the front of the flange.

But it sounds like you are running an SR20. I'd suggest skipping a T series diff and going straight to F or G or something else fat.

save your money, go an F or G series. you will blow up a T series again, i understand your running about 180killerwasps at the wheels right?

spend a grand or so on a good conversion, will be worth it.
