should be stronger than standard if you do it right. It will take you a long time to cut it out properly though.

the only thing i would be concerned about would be the change of impact angle and travel angle...as the arc travels up it will draw the strut into a negative arc... only minor but might cause issues???

I'm hoping it wont but i think i will try it, its only like 50 bucks for a new borgie but i'd just put a t series in anyway if its fucked.

think ill give it a go.
once the 8's are here so ic an get the perfect spring and shock height like on the front so its all captive and shit .
yea welds should be up to scratch.

i was worried about this on mine, the rear doesnt have as much droop as i would have liked, you can feel the shocks toping out over big dips on the freeway etc.

i planned to do what you propose (but keep the shock in the same line, keep the angle similar if you can) or use spacers at the top mount, or rebuild the top mount so it sits lower.

if its a bog warmer then go for your life

It should be fine. I suspect there will be some slight changes in handling due to angle changes etc. But I would hazard a guess I would never notice them.

I moved this mount when I added rear discs. It comes off after 10 mins work with a small grinder with a thin cutting disc. Then reweld it wherever you like. Just get it the same on each side.

easy solution is chop some more off your springs

only thing i would worry about is the arc angle like jinjaninja said other than that just make sure they are good welds and if it doesnt work who gives a fuck its a borgy haha

ST141 disc rear end onto T18 diff. Basically I rotated the thick arm which sticks out the side until it was vertical. More info on Toymods under conversions (I think).
