so its not turning over?
hey
my car isnt starting, i know its not the altinator because it still has the charge/park brake lights on
i can push start the car, so it still workshaha
it used to have this problem after about half an hour to an hour of heavy driving, but then you would let it cool off and it would start again.
i have no idea what it is, i just recently replaced the ignition coil...
any help would be appreciated

cheers guys, now its starting again.
i have no idea whats wrong with it.
could be the solenoid....
guess it just has a mind of its own.
My kesev did excactly the same thing, when it was hot it wouldn't start just go (click click)
Fair chance its the starter motor solenoid..
Just park on hills like i did![]()
so its started happening again.... should have fixed it by now. what should i do? I'm thinking of buying a new starter motor? would that fix the problem? what did you do to fix it daim? cheers heaps
fit a relay to the starter that should fix it

OK:
Step one:
Go to Sprint, Motor Mate, Super Cheap or Repco etc and get a relay some 15amp cable and some conections (a packet of female and male blade, a packet of ring connections that will fit a M6 (6mm) bolt through the ring),a packet of smaller ring connectors and a crimper tool if you don't already have one.
Step 2:
Disconnect the positive terminal from your battery
Step 3:
find somewhere to mount the relay that is not very far from the starter
Step 4: hook up the relay. The relay will have 4 or 5 pins marked 30, 85, 86, 87 and 87a if there is a fifth pin.
pin 30 is for the feed power which comes from the big cable bolted to your starter solonoid. Unbolt this cable and using a ring connector connect some of the cable you bought to this bolt then reattach the big cable.
pin 85 is for the switching power this is the small cable on your starter solonoid you may need to make the cable longer to reach your relay
pin 86 is earth just connect this one to the same bolt or screw that is holding the relay in place
pin 87 is the power going to your starter connect this one to the connection on your starter that you freed up when you connected pin 85
Step 5: reconnect your battery and start your car.
