opinion on v mount ic? for drfiting?
I'm thinking of it.
i have been thinking about doing it for a while. but i am not having temp issues. so i have not bothered. fair bit of work involved to do it properly.
it's a good idea but there is a lot of work involved and requires a well vented bonnet to be truly effective. Josh Young's set up when he ran the 4AGTE was one of the best V mount setups i've seen.
worth noting whilst its done primarily to increase cooling effectiveness, the shortened piping the (commonly) top mounted intercooler requires aids throttle responseagain Josh's car best shows this (sorry i have no pics)
would love to see his setup , anyone got pics?
cheers

i wouldn't mine doing it in the future, it makes sense that it will catch the air which would kool it alot better, and cooler air means a better running engine.
i will be doing it just for the responce side. well attempting it....
it can't be that hard can it....
chop the top radiator mount, to mount the intercooler, and also the bottom to slide the radiator in on the piss. make up the supporting brackets, custom hoses/piping and air directing sheets... and bobs your aunty :hammer:
i found this on josh's v-mount:
