Finally got started on my sprinter and started to get the good bits on.

I've now put on the new worked head and the new intake manifold with the twin carbs on it. Love the carbys! They look huge!

Here are a couple of photo's for the moment.

Still have a bit to do.. I need to rig up the carb(fuel and vacuum lines), Throttle cable/linkages, get custom extractors made to fit, air filters, and get the carbs tuned.

Will update when we do more.

    mmmm.. dual valve springs.....

That looks awesome. Never seen a modified 4ac before, everyone ditches them for a 4AG. Kudos for being different

My bro has also done a 4A-C rebuild in his sprinter. Spent a heap of coin getting all the machining done and it's still running on the old stock manifolds and carby from my AE71. He's now decided that instead of using the downdraft 32/26 weber with match ported stock manifold that he wants to go twin carbs, where did you buy the manifold? I've emailed Paradise Racing and they replied saying they no longer make performance parts for the 4A-C engine. Also, when you get your extractors made or when my bro gets his done, do you want to get them (2 sets of extractors made) done together to save $? Are you from Melbourne?

    Very nice work :2thumbs:

When I see a 4AC-based Sprinter it makes me smile, but big props to go out and do something different to the norm and go mod it! Great work mate

Nice work :2thumbs: i have a 4ac with a 286 duration cam, shaved and mildly ported head and a rebuilt 32/36 weber and it goes really hard, yours should be making some pretty good power when its up and running. Good work can't wait to see how it all goes. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
