86s flex way more than 70s.. hatch backs anyway.

I'm doing a half cage probably with 1 diagonal. atached on top of triangular gussets between the chassis rail and rear seat "cross member". the rear legs will attach to a short vertical tube that extends directly up from the shock tower (ill be running rear coilovers) and obviously a vertical brace between these points too. I'm gonna have the main hoop attached by plates to the roof near the b pillars. the a and b pillars, roof section between the two and also the sills will be foam filled.

this for me is the best compromise i can come up with between not adding too much weight, being road legal, and adding some rigidity.

roll centres.. prolly a watts link too. got one off a ford the other day. apparently not the perfect size but using this makes the whole concept to reality process alot easier.

front.. I'm using 15s this time so ill have 50mm rcas in the front.

i do want equal 4 link, but what i can say for sure is the links will use rubber/polly on the body end and toyota oem rose joints on the diff side.

will use a triangulated strut brace in the front as well as plate gussets between the tower and firewall. reinforce where the tri bar connects too. also some extra spots in the front and floow but nothing past the towers.. makes repair too difficult.

ok let me get this right...
at the top you put 'due to the need of its use as a daily driver'
then later your talking about watts links, foam filled sills, equal length four link arms and a pretty intensive cage...!!!

where the fuck do you drive every day???
175kph scando entries into the uni carpark??

you miss read a little . what i meant was i don't have time constraints because it isnt my daily driver/or more accurately, i actually don't need a daily driver, I'm close enough to ride to tafe, so i don't actually need a car, meaning i can do these labour/time intensive mods.

the cage isnt going to be intense at all. like i said its gonna be 4/maybe 5 point. which is completely engineerable for road use.

the rear end stuff needs doing, its pretty shit the way most people have it set up (me included in the past), and i can really feel it and it annoys me.

you can't even see the foam, but i have driven a car with it (alot of it actually, but NO cage) and it makes an incredible difference.

i guess i do have a little bit of a different perspective with the exposure ive had, but i don't really think any of the mods ive listed are all that crazy

yeah, ive got a while to think about it, doing bodywork first, pretty time consuming.

got tires on the 9.5s... pretty nice stretch. funny how things go, doesnt seem at all excessive to me.

which place in paddington have you been to? ive lived at quite a number of addresses in that area. the most recent i have only been at for like 2 months.. but theres heaps of space here. so yeah there is no plan to do an work at ants, it might get engineered there, few little bits and pieces
