Thread: What kind of tailshaft is this?

    A quick q, I've got an extra tail shaft from a parts car, was mounted in a T50 and bolted up to a S-Series diff using only 2 bolts :blink:
    It's a 2-piece, anyone know what kind of tail shaft it is?

    Some one also mentioned this might be an 86 one. Any Sprinter walking dictionary people know what this is? Hoping it's something of use to me when I upgrade to a T-Series

    it looks like a slightly butchered aus spec 86 shaft.

    Yeah I just got told this was the left overs from Dodgy Daves Aus spec spoontah.

    If I was to convert my KE to a T-Series what part of this tail shaft do I need? And is tooooo butchered?

    no i don't think the front half is an 86. 86 front half's are alot thicker than that. not sure what it would be tho.
    stroked 2L ca18-ae86 in the build...eta xmas 2012?

    could be a ae71 front half and aus 86 rear half

    71 are one piece

    rear half looks t18, hence the use of 2 bolts on an s series
