    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (AE86_4life @ Mar 15 2008, 10:27 PM) </div>Km's on motor ?

15w40 semi synthetic if the km's are a bit high or 10w40 if the motor is fresh. I found my 16v runs better on 15w40 than 10w40, Just starts easier etc.

Valvoline duragear 15w40 is about $40 for 5 litres, There is oil called purple stuff or something like that and apparently its good shit but haven't been able to find it for sale yet

Generaly, I think you could run just about any engine oil and you would hardly notice the difference. If the valve stem seals and rings are a little old, you may burn a little oil. You can then experiment with thinner or thicker oil to reduce oil smoke. If you have a oil pressure gauge you may notice differences also. But other than that, you are not likely to realize any difference unless you send a sample of used oil to a lab for testing. So for me, I go with the cheapest oil.
