URGENT: Help - Stalling / Idle / Carb related

Hi all.

Need your help urgently:

Car: XT130 Corona, Motor: 1x (holden starfire 1.9L)

Symptoms:

Bad idle, missing at idle, cutting out

Stalling whenever you bring it back to idle

Basically running like a sack of crap

Was running great before saturday afternoon, only thing that has changed since then was i put some 95 octane in it (instead of 91 like normal, yeeeew).

Have fixed all vacuum leaks, adjusted idle speed / mixture, choke etc etc.

Still can't work it out.

HELP I NEED THIS SHIT RUNNING TOMORROW.

Fuel filter filled with crap

Something dizzy related?

HALP MOI.

so if you bring it off idle, its ok.?

maybe you got a shitty batch of fuel......its an outside possibility.

carby cleaning the throat made no difference?

if you can get to the top of the carby, are you able to remove the bowl? inspect inside there and the float

it might be a dodgy fuel pump, split in the diaphram causing not enough fuel at idle

yeah thats my guess. i think the idle port has a block in it

this port is BELOW the throttle butterfly. so you will need to have WOT to see it. shine a torch down the carby and you will see a small hole. this is the idle port.

don't DROP ANYTHING DOWN THE CARBY

ps i hope you didnt put ethanol in it? I'm never toughing that shit ever again

the extra octane may of pulled carbom of the inside of the motor and its fouled the plugs. simple yes, happens alot tho
