pull harder sometimes the seals are really tight
Hey guys,
I'm having a few issues with the T18 daily atm so I'm in need of some advice.
Firstly I'm trying to remove the front shocks from my T18 yet I'm having a seriously hard time trying to pull the shock out of the cartridge. Yes I have removed the gland nut but is there another pin or bolt that I'm not seeing? Or do i need a special tool to remove it? Otherwise I reckon the basterd might be slightly bent cause it really doesn't want to be removed.
Secondly, the front crankshaft seal on the 3t has given up at life and decided to start pissing oil everywhere. So how straight forward is it to do? i.e. undo the front pulley nut, remove the pulley, flip out the old seal and fit the new one. Or is there small pain in the ass issues you could enlighten me with?
Cheers guys,
Michael

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MACK 10 @ Mar 17 2008, 06:29 PM) </div>Is it factory shock inserts? If so the entire strut is the sock. If its like the sprinter ones, there should be a small rubber o-ring. Hack or remove that, and it should all come out nice and easily.
That is if its the original toyota shock. If not..disregarded anything i said![]()
I have a good feeling there the OG shocks so you might be right
