Got one in my KE70 which is pretty much the same as going into an 86, what do you want to know exactly?
any help appreciated running a microtec so that side of things is simple for me!!

doesnt the microtech have to be re-calibrated to suit SR? and to be honest from what i have experienced/heard i wouldn't go microtech.....the reliablility and power you can get out of a remap standard ecu is way better and alot more tollerant than the lovely MAP sensor!
obviously there is the gear box/ shifter postition problem....which can be resolved with rb20 gearbox....and sr bellhousing....
ive pm'd you one option for engine mounting, but i didnt tell you this results in the back of the head being very close to the fire wall.......
cheap injector upgrade is to get s15 injectors.......
there is a sump modification i would suggest for every SR........
rocker arm stoppers would be a great idea.......
if you are planning on running RB box, do it streight away or else you will be getting 2 tailshafts made as there is 50mm difference. Mounts are the same for both boxes.
there is nothing wrong with microtech. never heard of a map sensor failing.
other ECUs may have better features but will not give you a better power figure or a safer tune. to get your standard ecu remapped can be very expansive and if you are changing engine parts often (ie. turbos, injectors ect) it costs the same to remap everytime. not to mention there are not to many guys out there that are good at it.
i am using a SR microtech on a CA. don't know how much different 4A will be.
if you are putting out 200rwkw with stock SR computer it runs extremely rich.
use SR clutch slave up to ae86 master. SR slave is on drivers side.
everything else is quiet simple.
put rocker stoppers in your engine. i know you like the limiter......you don't want those rockers on the outside of the engine

the reason i don't like map sensors is because it reads a pressure....which directly doesnt relate to air flow and volume....
ie 10 psi on a standard turbo isnt flowing as much as 10 psi on a GT35.....
i know it comes down to tuning but its prolly just my preference and i feel airflow meters are more precise!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ninja_86 @ Mar 19 2008, 06:18 AM) </div> and air volume entering the airfilter at 40 degrees c is different to the same air entering the throttle body at 90 degrees c
neither measurement is perfect, the most accurate would be MAF mounted just before T/B
just my two cents

agreed as seen on nomekens r34...........
so i sat the engine in the engine bay it hits the engine x member at the same time as the top of the tunnel so tunnel is getting modded all looks very simple besides just need to know where a few water hoses need to go but ill get pics up when i can about that, and the wiring on the alternator anyone help on that.
what are the rocker arm stoppers and where and why do i get them??
are the sumps on red tops and s13 blacktops different??
i thought i had seen sr sumps that are completely steel mine has a big alloy section with a tiny steel pan sitting on the bottom??
