Hey all,
Found my master cylinder leaking today,have heard of people swapping these with R32 skline items.
My question is has anyone here done it and what does it do to pedal feel ect?
Braking stuff on my car is standard ADM stuff at the moment.I did a search and couldnt find anything on it......
Or i could just be blind

don't put a skyline master cylinder in your car if your brakes are stock.
you will lock up the brakes everytime you touch the pedal.
basically the r32 item is needed if you put massive calipers on your car. they require more fluid to be pushed into them, this is what the skyline item does.
i would ring ajps for a new master cylinder, they have them on the shelf. replacement item, brand new

The reason people upgrade to a a larger master is to keep the ratio correct when upgrading to larger/multi piston wheel cylinders/calipers. A small master can run out of travel before large wheel cylinders/calipers move enough to apply full braking power, and pedal feel is also diminished and thus a larger master is required for larger wheel cylinders/calipers.
But the advice is the same, don't bother upgrading the master. And unless you go crazy on the calipers (rx7 or skyline) you shouldn't need to upgrade the master either. It should be fine with say ra60 or cressida calipers.
Whats need for the R32 to work ? what lines need to re routed and does it bolt up exactly ? Reason i ask is i was running hliux 4 pot brakes at the front on the stock BMC now ive got r32 rear calipers on my rotors
i have an r32 master on mine and i only have jap discs all round, is that master "too much"

P.S. I found that there are some issues with brake line clearance when used on GZE engined AE86s
