Have done a few more things so far, still lots of work to go before I start driving it again.
I cleaned up the interior a bit to make it more presentable
From this.
To this.
still some work to go. I now need a good quick release steering wheel thingo, does anyone know where you can get them from?
Installed some fog lights as extra lighting never hurts.
And put some coilovers in the rear.
Still gotta get the fronts converted, but I've gotta get the struts out, which require taking the wheels off, which I don't have a locknut for, so it will be interesting.
I came across this pic, not 100% but I'm pretty sure it's my car from 2005
It makes me sad at how clean the car used to look, and how its only degraded over time. ah well.
Time for some updates, now Rocking full coilovers 4kg/mm rear 7kg/mm front with 40mm RCA's
It's hard to take photos of the car in the garage, the light is crappy and there is no space, but I'll be out at the one night stand drift school on this saturday at parklands, so if you see me, come say hi and make sure to take lots of photos
its my old car, the dude before you took everything out of it that i had in it or my setup could hold drifts fine it was very stiff you wouldn't have rolled if it was still in it . Getting it back there now man goog luck
The rears are Tein S13 rear's with ae86 top hats, so the fit the same as ae86 ones. The fronts are from Custom Compact, one of the sponsors on this forum. Big thanks to slydar for his great workmanship on them.
Booked in for a wheel alignment this Friday, can't wait to drive it again.
Yay, Wheels are aligned and I got to drive it again for the first time in awhile, I also took the opportunity to take some outdoor photos. All it needs now is a wash. I think I need to raise the front end a bit too.
Had a fun day at drift school, though it was cut early as my headlights stopped working and I had to leave before it turned dark. I really liked the new suspension, the whole frame feels a lot more solid now especially with the cage. The big issue of the day was the clutch. Josh Young took my car out for a lap, and really struggled to get it to drift. He found the clutch was always half engaged so only half the power is going to the wheels. But I still had a heap of fun and I really enjoy that track not to mention learnt a lot and got some great advise.
Anyway, some pics and vids of me noobing it up...
those were my last two laps from the day, featuring the only time I drifted all the way around the middle section
