Hi folks,
I'm after some parts I need for converting my smallport to RWD properly. I do not want to run remote thermostat housing, planning on using 4A-C rear part of waterpump with the thermostat housing.
Parts needed...
The water block from the back of the head
The water outlet from the front of the head
Cast iron alternator bracket
Top adjuster bracket for alternator
ALL PARTS MUST BE TO SUIT RWD FORMAT
Any help would be much appreciated.
Went to this trouble with my small port too.
The rwd water block from the back of the head is useless to you, as the little outlet on it interferes with the head's large oil drain pipe at the back. Better off with an AE82 version.
May like to consider trying to find the heater pipe section which attaches to the back of the water pump if you plan on running the thermostatic idle control in the throttlebody. You will have to mod it though to get around the knock sensor.
Oh, and you can't use the bottom inlet which is attached to the rear section of the 4AC pump, as it doesn't suit the alternator mount. Either you need a 4age ae86 one, or the same section from a fwd thermostat, the advantage there is you then get an integrated thermo switch if you want to run thermo fans.
