ae71 radiators do NOT bolt into ke70s!

you have to make a custom support with a strip of aluminium, or however you wish to mount it.

I'm running an ae71 radiator and 10" davies craig thermo fan man. it never budges off C, but i think thats due to my thermostat being fucked.

definately get one might as well put it in when you do the convo

in that case, it may be worthwhile upgrading to an ST162 rad + thermos now while you're undertaking the conversion rather than later.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

    indeed or an excel rad.

wont be any harder to fit it than the ae71 rad.

    yo fool.

don't forget to get a RWD starter... otherwise we be pushing this beast into life once conversion is bolted in. NOT

or lets forget the conversion and just turn it into a 'flintstones' mobile, cut a big fuckoff hole in the floor and run like a dirty african chasing an antelope for dinner.

    peace.

    sly.

got most parts ready for my convo... maybe starting it next weekend, should be interesting.

And with the diff is that essential? I actually had no idea you had to change? I though AE71 tailshafts bolt into your standard e7 diff?

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (muncher @ May 15 2008, 01:13 PM) </div>yea, i thought that was fairly obvious but its a MUST wen going from 4k - 4a

4k diff and tailshaft/ gear box is all different to 4a

    different series, wont match up

s series out of a ae71 or ae86 is the minimum but if u can afford it get a t series diff

will hold up to more thrashing/ kw's!

but just like all the 4a bits it bolts straight in

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (todd @ May 14 2008, 01:13 PM) </div>haha thanks

hey mate i just did the conversion myself on the weekend,
piss easy until u come 2 the wiring. i just payed an auto electrician 2 rewire my 4age up.
1 thing that i forgot that i need 2 get on the weekend is a high pressure fuel filter coz i through my 4k 1 in and the guy who wired my car up said that the 4k filter handle's 8psi and the ae82 filter the i need run's fuel at 43psi that the 4age runs it fuel at.

have fun. i hope u wire it up propley and save your money.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (jarryd @ May 15 2008, 01:32 PM) </div>ae71's have the same borgy diffs as ke70's, not S series

so an ae71 tailshaft will work fine, as it will be at home with the same type of diff

however with the extra power gained it is advised that you get a t series,
but yeah, ae71 tailshaft will work with stock kesev diff 90 percent sure
