if they are about 6" round, cut them up and stick them in.

id assume xr6 might be a bit stiffer? "xr6" sounds sporty...

sierra shocks to short in my opinion, although people use them all the time.

check the tech article on rear suspension for other options.

holden wagon ones are working fine for me, bout 50mm longer (part number 343113 i think)

yeah, I'm prob gonna go with monaro shocks as ive got a kit on the 86 and only plan for shitty adm sprinter wheels on the back, yes XR6, stiffer rate, and also fit perfectly on the spring seat on a s series, borg warner, t series, etc.

don't go sierra they are too short, they'll have no droop = not good at all.

343113 will be sweet with them as ke70dave said, just don't go to low.

cut springs are illegal, and stupid. ring up browns in thomastown just down the road and get a custom set wound for you...very cheap. or drop into carrolls. they're pretty knowledgable.

cut springs + stock (probably stuffed) shocks + un-captive springs +ultra low = dangerous and stupid

cut springs + short stroke shocks + captive springs + reasonable height + wireties/wire holding springs to bottom spring seat so they can't physically fall out = not dangerous

everything to do with these cars is illegal unfortunately...
