hey people i have a 350mm deepcorn nardi.. and the leather on it is pretty much worn, old and hard!
just wondering if its possible to get the steering wheel retrimmed with fresh synthetic leather or vinyl??
does anyone knows the quality of retrimming it, where it can be done at, and how much it would roughly cost would be great..
(and AJPS are selling these 'Luisi steering wheels' thinking it might be a cheaper option <_< )

    thanks vince

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (D86TOY_20V!nce @ May 19 2008, 06:32 PM) </div>I once approached a trimmer to do one and he laughed - told me it was a days work and simply not worth it to him to do. You might get lucky but they don't seem that interested in that kind of work

    Good luck

It's possible. I'm pretty sure my ke70 wheel has been re-trimmed.

I got quoted $350 to retrim my wheel. wtf.

Yeah it all has to be done by hand, so the labour charges are intense.

You may be able to get a nardi for close to that number.

Luisis are cheap as chips by comparison
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

I am looking at doing this aswell. I just got a quote from Moorooka Auto Trim in QLD, $165 and they are redone in leather.
