    pft! it won't be hard to fine some big port cams for it (this is classed as an upgrade as big port cams have a little longer duration and lift, thats what i'm doing on mine ), and you'll be able to find the bolty downie things for the cam shafts at toyota for sure... not sure how much they would cost, but i would think it would be far cheaper than buying a complete head!


    or just buy a blown 4age big port... they come up every now and then and can be pretty cheap! then you'll have a spare block too!

    I might be wrong here but i am pretty sure that you can't easly swap those caps between heads as they are machined individually for each position in each head. So you would need to do a fair bit of expensive machine work to refit the caps.

    Change the head..

    yeah that was what the mechanic said that they were individually matched so i have found out that my motor is a big port head so will this 100kw n/a head go on with out any problems i have manifolds etc

    Sam q is right

    it is basically line boring but for your cam shims to fit the cams and head

    not worth it

    ah ha! so the "cap's" are made for each individual head... well there you go...


    still it'd be cheaper to buy some big port cams and get some small port cap's from toyota...


    it's a shame you aren't doing this in a few months... i'm aiming to put my new head on the ze soon and you could have bought my complete old head!

    nothing wrong with it, i just don't need 2 heads! :lol:

    ok guys i have bought a complete bigport tvis motor, so i will swap heads over using a big mm head gasket to releave compression and move the throttle body to the otherside of the intake manifold cause the one i have is fwd. Is that about the way to do it anything else i should know. Once again thank you to all
