    This just in!

-You can't have a fast car!

    -Doh! No engine conversions either!

-You can't, and won't, beat the system

-You can't drive your way out of sight on a dark night! So put the street dori fantasies on hold.

-You're a moving target for cops. Why do you think they put that thinly disguised bullseye on a square in your car? Why are you a target? Why do you get picked on? Refer 'can't drive' comment.

    Seriously harden the f#ck up.

You're 17/18 years old, its the middle of the year...study a bit harder hey folks, and not the state RTA rulebook? Maybe you'll be able to afford your doribox one day if you finish year 12 (or 11 for the slow).

stay in school. pay attention...you will thank yourself in the coming years for it.

if you think what i just said is stupid, you are exactly the type of person who should be listening up

drive around in a stock ke70 for a few years, save your money. don't GET A LOAN

then, when you actually do get a decent car, it will be so much more rewarding to actually pay for it yourself rather than just the bank paying for it.

young people don't like listening to the 'older.' I'm 25, ive been there, done all that, so i know what I'm talking bout. the loan is the worst thing i ever did.....its pretty much paid off now, but its such a fucker.

i am paying for my jzx100 with all my hard saved $$ this week, it feels so nice to know that i worked hard for it and its mine.

P plates may suck, but they are actually trying to help you stay safe and all that shit.....so suck it up. i had a 3k ke30 for my entire P plates, couldnt get into trouble even if i tried. never lost one dollar or point whilst on my P's. true story.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Hachi Roku @ Jun 2 2008, 12:27 AM) </div>I gotta disagree with that one.
I can't say i've ever owned a car and had the spare $$ to do anything major with.
So I've never really had dramas.

But I'm targeted by cops because my car has an exhaust.
I've been pulled over that many times because of it.
My car is a slow ass 49.9kw FWD carby. It doesn't go fast.. but it's loud.
    So that's enough reason.
Fortunately, i know it's under the legal limit of 90dB so when i tell the cops that, they generally piss off.
    haha

In the 5 years science I finished year 12 :
    - 3 people who I went to school with have died in Separate road Accidents,
    doing something stupid.
    - Ive had an Uncle that died , in a Motorcycle crash.
    - Two Close friends hit a tree in the hills, they where very lucky to walk away.
    - And countless other people I know who have had close calls

Also I was a delivery driver for 4 years ,
ive seen a lot of accidents occur , the aftermath. Its not pretty,
and trust me , it makes you think every time you get behind the wheel.

One of the main reasons I quit my job was that , I couldn't take
the stress , of waking up every morning , wondering If I would
make it to the end of the day, or wondering what horrors I might see.

I have had well over 10,000 hours behind the wheel,
and I know that no matter how good a driver you think you are,
it takes 1 second to lapse concentration, and you could be dead ,
or worst in a wheel chair for the rest of your life

    Sorry for the long post.

Nah that's a great post mate..

    Look at brocky for example.
He was driving for how many years.. and how good was he.. cept it took a road accident which did the final damage ya know?

All it takes is some other idiot, or a lapse in concentration..
    But it does happen.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (fatknacker77 @ Jun 2 2008, 12:56 AM) </div>Well in the case of Brock, it was road conditions that unsettled his car, and even with his reflexes and training, he was unable to save it. That's on an area designated as a track, imagine the risk you're putting yourself into when;

    1) You don't have experience,
    2) Your reflexes are still developing,
    3) Your car is lacking a supreme level of suspension tuning,
    4) You're driving on public roads (which in Australia, are generally unpredictable to say the least), and,
    5) You're part of a demographic that is currently being targeted in relation to vehicle-related offenses.

Oh yeah, then there's the fact that if you want to get anywhere in life, you won't have decent money while you're still on your P-plates because you'll still be at uni or doing an apprenticeship. Just because you've got a licence, doesn't mean you're all grown up.

Ironic coming from a 21 year old? Kinda, considering I did some pretty silly stuff, but I was one of the lucky ones. Get your low speed gymkhana on in KE70's until you're financially awesomed and on your opens.

Where will it stop? Will it ever be finished? How will it go? Why am I not wearing any pants?
