Treat your customers like you would treat your friends

No bullshit and good prices, obviously not "mate rates" but don't take advantage of them
Too often have I seen or heard first hand accounts of workshops taking advantage of noobies/younger guys simply because they don't have the mechanical knowledge.

The one workshop that was similar to yours would be at the start, is here in Brisbane, a guy named Brad, workshop is Boostedxtremes.
He is the qldsupraclub official mechanic and basically has built his business from word of mouth, you now need to book 3 weeks ahead at least just to get minor servicing done, and had to move into larger premises. All due to his no BS attitude and experience.
Also, if you can't do something within reasonable expectations for a customer, don't attempt it or do it just so you don't lose business, refer them to someone who can and build some trading partnerships.
