ok now i know that the most well known toyota hybrid engine is the 7AGE, but has anyone out there tried to bolt the 20v head on anything else?

i was thinking a good combo would be a 1rz or 2rz with a 20v head, if, IF! you could do it, the reason i say, is i don't know a great deal about the toyota motors...

dobt the water jackets , and head studs would even fit.

Then the cylinder spacing , ect

Get a 20v Head gasket and try if you must.

7afe, however you lose revability with it over a 4a bottom end

It would need forgies and rods for it to be a reliable car on boost, as boost you need revs and the 7afe shits its self with a 70kw motor let alone 120kw with boosta powah .. None of this hope it doesnt blow up shit..

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Sam_Q @ Jun 25 2008, 11:08 PM) </div>Thats one of the things i wanted to do but i was told its impossible because of the overlap the head would have with the bore.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Sam_Q @ Jun 25 2008, 11:28 PM) </div>The reason that the 7afe isnt a revvy engine is because of the low hp & toruqe range the engine has, There is no point in it revving any higher, The 7AGE we have at work has had quite alot of work done to it but revs happily on the 8800rpm limiter.
