    Hey guys,

Got given a borgie, which i stripped from it the welded center, pinion and bearings. I then pulled apart my existing diff and tried to install the bearings, pinion and center. I then ran into a problem once i got all the bits in where i could turn the pinion with my hand but the center would get tighter and tighter as it meshed through a tight spot for some reason. I can't seem to find the problem, as the diff i was given ran perfectly. When diff centers get welded do they warp? Can anyone help out?

    Much appreciated,

    Alex

I don't know the answer to your question. But how did yo setup the crownwheel and pinion?

What you should have done, assuming your gearset was fine and you jut wanted to fit a weldy. You should have not touched your pinion and just fitted your crownwheel to the welded carrier and then slot that in. heaps easier.

Take it to a diff shop and get it set up properly. Shouldn't cost you too much and it'll pay itself off with all the noise / trouble free driving.

Removed the pinion ant replaced it with another because it was a whining bitch!
Ended up putting the un-welded center back in because i just couldn't get the welded center to turn. Ggrrrr!
