To the OP, not sure which state you're in, but a quick carsales search reveals most Hiaces in your price range have in excess of 250k kms, which begs the question, how many kms are their engines generally good for between rebuilds/replacements?

Also found this, '94, $5.5k auto with relatively low mileage for a diesel.
