Seats which fit???

hey everyone,
new member, I'm matt, just imported a gt apex trueno 86 hatch from japan, late model.

will run a intro thread with pics once the car is out of compliance,
but for now i am chasing a FRONT DRIVERS SEAT fitting directly to JDM86 mounting points, so i can drive without risk of defect from the blatantly obvious bright red recaro bucket which is in there now

could anyone reccomend:

A: where i can source a jdm86 or equivalent drivers seat (ie WTB; gt apex drivers side seat!!! )
or
B: any seats from other cars which bolt straight in..

black slip on seat cover maybe, will hide the bright red recaro thats for sure

shouldn't get attention if your not a know, I have a full sparco bucket in my car etc and never been pulled over, also you probabaly have a reacaro seat rail or a rail that is modded in soem way so a stoick seat might not bolt straight in

Just get a seat cover for it, or just get a black one.

ill check out that paseo seat, I'm pretty sure they have one at the workshop my cars in, saw it last week. cheers for the heads up.. other wise, might have too be seat cover :whistling:


still looking if anyone has JDM86 drivers seat, or knows who does!!!??? what wreckers have been helpful in the past for you guys!?

If the seat is installed in a non-dodgy fashion you'd have no hassles keeping it, just get it engineered. Simple enough.

floody, yeah its safe enough, on proper rails, i had the same thought but the recaro seat itself is from japan with no "euro badge" i think its called, the only way you can get an engineers plate written up is by having the seat tested, destructively... 80% which they have tested break in half according to my compliancer
