the sandwich plate is the std oil cooler setup. they bleed off a little pressure to send some oil into the cooler. there's supposed to be a core attached in between the hoses for it to do anything.

okay brought a 4age 16 valve bigport to tie me over till i get my other motor built.
thing is it has a drain hose into the sump and one coming out of the oil filter plate.
what would these have been used for?
and the other thing is i have a sump to replace the one on there but will a 4ac oil plate fit an 4age?
i havent looked as I'm at work <_< so i get get rid of those 2 hoses?
