Thread: Rear Drum to Disc conversion?

    ive heard of people converting their t18 drums to disc using corona discs and the like.

    anyone know exactly what needs to be done?

    gday mate thats a really good page for brake and suspension info, just wondering if the info regarding corona rear brake conversion is applicable to the e series diff?? as iv just piked up a E with the corona calipers and discs to be put on

    i would have to check, but if the backing plates bolt to the housing then the answer is yes...

    I have just done this actually, sitting on my bench waiting to go into my car, supposedly your meant to use a different handbrake cable and stuff but i'm going to see if the corona ones will work, goodconversion though, huge discs, they won't fit under 13's I know for a fact, and thne I just cut my brake lines and double flared them and it all looks peachy, just hoping that my shcok doesn't hit the caliper, even though I have moved it in 10mm

    i moved my shock mount in 20mm up 10mm, clears mint....you are meant to use the corona handbrake cables, with a t18/sv11 front half....the car originally came with 14's....

    get a brake bias adjuster too

    the rears lock up before the fronts on my car

    yeh, this is a good idea....

    if you stuck with little to no cash, I'm sure you could use the stock jdm sprinter bias until you can buy a decent one .....or alternatively, just hollow out your std one

    woulnd't happen to have spare set of cables?? tried modding mine last night but the silver solder didn't last very long, reckon you would go \2 RH ones as well

    you need to use 1xleft 1xright cables....

    i have a complete spare set here (minus rotors)....
