    As the topic title states
    what is it?

if anyone can tell me that would be greatly appreciated. its out of a jdm trueno, t series disk brakes. the car came from factory with 4.3 gears and open wheeler but this seems like its locked.
looked closely and can't see any welds inside
    thanks in advance

that's a mechanical LSD. i.e. the good type. might just be a standard JDM ae86 LSD, but still good

    TRD mechanical centre

they use cast housings and have shit windows that you can't see the ramp arrangement through. well the windows are fine its just the ramps don't align with the windows, so you don't really know (by casual glance) what you have (1.5, 2 way) until you pull it apart, or have some awesome driver type person that has extra sensitive "seat of the pants" diff identification technology
