I know this topic has been kinda done but i have done alot of searching hours actually and not many people have said if it is actually worth the extra coin.

so pretty much on a *e7*

    ae86 struts
    xt130 lca

I can get ps arms for around $200

or i can get non for around $50

the car is mainly just for a bit of fun maybe the occasional drift day nothing to competive

So speaking from people's personal experience is the PS arms really that much of an improvement to warrant me spending an extra $150 on them

    cheers guys

Absolutely definitely, one of the best bang-for-buck mods you can do if drifting is your cup of tea

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (anastasios @ Aug 6 2008, 11:48 PM) </div>i would like to know if you have any direct experience with an ae86, or ke70, which used both?

i can say, even if you don't drift, you want them.

it "quickens' the steering, not just more lock.

for every degree you turn the steering wheel, the wheels are turning further. for a sports car, the ae86 is a little on the slow side to say the least. the p.s arms improve this.

my last (only) imported ae86 i owned was certainly not a drift car(when it arrived), much more of a time attack car, and it had power steering knuckle arms fitted.

the steering effort, for most any male driver, is nothing to worry about.

ps arms = 2.5 turns to lock
    non-ps arms = 3 turns to lock

that doesnt look at good but you have to remember you also get MORE lock with the ps arms

PS arms + ae86 struts = best bang for buck mod to my ae71 add a cheap strut brace and for a daily it's improved the car massively. Personally the next step is s13 coil over stuff, but that will make it not so daily friendly any more.

Not only does it turn alot quicker, I can also do a U-turn over not much more than 2 standard lane's without breaking traction.
