Omg that is a very clean example of an ae86. I'm a big fan of the panda gt apex trueno and am glad to see there are still mint ones around. Gl with it and hope all goes well

thanks trb20v and troy for you comments, i am a happy man today because though compliance has taken a long time did get some good news about the car when i had a look under myself,

TRD damper adjustable short stroke rears (green ones.)
    adjustable panhard rod
Limited slip diff... I'm guessing cusco three way mechanical*

    *previous guess grossly inaccurate!

no more photos at this stage, dirty photo up there ^, but the wheels look the goods on, and no empty guards what-so-ever, they fill them perfectly with a 5 ml spacer up front for clearance insurance. guards remain unrolled but i want to come up about 5ml anyway and the tyres haven't touched yet so i shouldn't have to roll them
I drove it to the road worthy, clutch and drive line all seems pretty good, the only thing i'm replacing is a set of rear bushes which were worn and a passenger side tie rod end also worn.

brakes will need doing soon though, it has new pads and hoses but the rotors are getting scarce, bit of a lip on them already, id be hesitant to machine them..

    BRAKE PEOPLE LOOK HERE !!!

=> Can anyone please Reccommend rotors,
I'm looking at the following items from greenline at this stage,

dixcel slotted or techno pro slotted. (fyi exchange rate is around 95YEN to the AUD)

    anyone had experience with these??

I'm only replacing the front, if i decide to change the rear ill go for the matching brand but not slotted, I DO see the value in Good brakes , but i don't see the point/value of slotted on the rears in a daily (weekend hillclimb car), unless any one has a different opinion???!
any other suggestions for good rotors??

    thanks

    cheers,

yeah the rules/availability seem to be really different, in qld we own our plates.. i heard the nsw system is a yearly rental system!?!?!

    UPDATE.

Just got the road worthy today, ended up just changing to rear arms with decent bushes in them already, was an easier option than new bushes, and i want it on the road ASAP!

pick her up tomorrow morning. :2thumbs:

sunday drive through nebo and glorious. awesome weather!

    Brisbane

really happy with the way its all come together, here the car has been washed only, still needs a proper cut and polish, which i haven't got around too. there is some very mild pollution stains which are visible from close up only

few very minor things I'm realising which i want to improve on; Brakes discs..
and a few annoyances: i think a wheel bearing, and a pair of annoying clunky bushes..

but again so pleased about the overall condition of the car.

    hope you enjoy the pics.

Whoever took that first photo in the above post must be a highly attractive and single ae86 owner
